Bros

In this first programme, the Goss twins discuss their earliest musical memories, recalling the songs and artists that provided influence and inspiration during their formative years. They talk about how their mother’s favourite music provided them with an eclectic taste in rock and soul, and how a gift of a box of 45 singles from their auntie was the catalyst for them to explore pop music.

They also discuss how their step father encouraged them to pursue their musical potential by giving Luke a set of drums and Matt a saxophone - because Matt dreamed of being Steve Norman in Spandau Ballet and wanted to learn to play the sax solo in True!

Kate Thorton says: “After The Screaming Stops was arguably one of the most talked about TV moments on the BBC last year. But, for me, it raised as many questions as it answered, so I’m thrilled Bros have agreed to take part in this two-hour special. I get the chance to pick up the conversation and talk more about what happened in the years following the band’s break up, the incredible reaction to the film and what happens next now that they are back together.”

The second programme will broadcast on 3 August. Matt and Luke will talk to Kate about their very first attempts to form bands at school, and when they met Craig Logan and morphed in to Bros.
