Nigel Cole began working in the theatre, before moving into television. He made a series of documentaries that took actors like Julia Roberts and Robin Williams to remote parts of the world before moving into drama, directing the first series of Cold Feet for ITV.
His first film, Saving Grace, won the audience award at the Sundance Film Festival and his second, Calendar Girls is one of the most successful British films of all time staying at number one for four weeks. Two films in the USA were followed by Made In Dagenham which was nominated for five BAFTA’s including Best Film.
Recently he has returned to television, directing Doc Martin, Last Tango In Halifax and Do Not Disturb for Lonesome Pine Productions.
